Itinerary
This is a typical day on a Table Mountain Tour.

Pickup: All major locations and hotels, including all private accommodation in Central and Atlantic Seaboard.

After pickup at your designated hotel, the tour guide will drive through to the Table Mountain parking lot. Along the way, witness the historical city of Cape Town. Many landmarks pointed out by your guide, observed along the way. The orientation gives a better understanding and appreciation of the Mother City for the rest of the tour.

Stop At: Table Mountain Cape Town 8001 South Africa

We stop off at the Box Office to buy tickets (not included in the fee or fare) and refreshments. The line for Aerial Cable car admission depends on the season. We recommend buying tickets in advance through www.tablemountaintickets.com or South African website www.tablemountaintickets.co.za.

Duration: 20 minutes – 1 hour

Stop At: Lower Aerial Cableway Station.

Now we stop at a New 7 Wonder of Nature, Table Mountain where we will explore. Skipping the queue because you bought tickets off the online website in advance. We will go to the next queue for the funicular ride. In case of adverse weather we will postpone the Table Mountain ride till later, when the conditions are improved. Not to stress at all, we will still stop at Table Mountain, although the time depends on the weather. The cable car rotates 360 degrees and goes up in approximately 5 minutes. The two Cable Cars scissor slice each other at the middle, which makes for good photos of the other side of the ride with the people on the other gondola. Now at the top the licensed tour guide and driver will take you on a spectaculars tour of the Table Top.

A note about location: Table Mountain Aerial Cableway

Your Tour Guide driver escorts you to the most scenic parts on top of the mountain and gives you a guided tour. Please note that weather permitting, the Cable Car may not operate in strong winds and rain. And, please also note that the entrance into the Cable Car is not included in the price. With this tour, we recommend clients purchase their tickets online in advance, it will ensure things go faster, according to the itinerary. In purchasing tickets online, you will skip the box office, proceed directly to the boarding line, await the next cable car. Usually it takes 15 minutes to 30 minutes.

Stop At: Viewing point number 1 Camps Bay, Western Cape

From the Table Mountain walking path, we stop at the viewing point for Camps Bay, Green Point and Bantry Bay. We take photos here at this amazing opportunity. This is the highlight photo of the tour. With the 12 Apostles on one side and the city on the other, white sand beaches and lush green landscape make for Instagram photos with excellent captions.

Stop At: Deck 2 Chapmans Peak viewing point between Noordhoek and Hout Bay, 7872 South Africa

Chapman’s peak viewing point is one of the most scenic stops. Travelers will be WOW’d as they see the white sand beaches in the distance for kilometers upon kilometers. Waves crashing upon the southern shores till the Cape Point.

We will stop at the viewing point on the mountain side where you can see Simons Town. Your tour guide will share an interesting story about how Simons Town got it’s iconic name. Interestingly the South African Navel base is located in Simons Town.

Stop At: Mountain Top Stop Boulders Beach Viewing Point, the Penguin Colony, Simon’s Town 7995 South Africa

From the mountain, look towards Boulders Beach, one of the best beaches in Cape Town. The warm waters from False Bay area, makes this location ideal for suntanning and bathing. The highlight of this location if you go is of course the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. Here you can visit some cute penguins on a separate tour and see them breeding on the beach.

Stop At: Viewing point towards Cape of Good Hope, Table Mountain National Park 8001 South Africa

Possibly the highlight of the day is the viewing deck towards Cape of Good Hope on the southern side of Table Mountain. A visit to Cape Town is not complete without getting a photo towards this vantage point and platform. Your tour guide has knowledge of two important beacons to The Cape, Bartolomeu Dias beacon and the Vasco Da Game beacon.

Stop At: Storytelling point about the Old Cape Point Lighthouse, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Point South Africa

Your tour guide can tell you an exciting story about the short hike from Cape of Good Hope to the Cape Point Light House. If you have no interest in this point, your tour guide can tell you about the exciting Flying Dutchman Funicular in which you can ride on another tour to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope are excluded from this Table Mountain Tour but the guide can help you with planning. Interesting fact! The Cape Point is the meeting point between two renowned ocean currents: The Cold Benguela and the Warm Agulhas are the Two Oceans.

Our final educational point on the Table Mountain tour is Muizenberg overview. The colorful huts make for ideal photos and the beach is known as “surfers beach”. The tour guide shares knowledge about the huts, where sunbathers change their clothes during summer months.

After the mountain, we drop off travelers in Cape Town, and Atlantic Seaboard.
